Desert National Wildlife Refuge spring service project
Start Date: 5/20/2010
End Date: 05/23/2010
Location: Corn Creek, Desert National Wildlife Refuge
State Region: Southern Nevada
Event Type: Stewardship
Friends of Nevada Wilderness will team up with the Friends of Desert Refuge Complex to build three post-and-cable fences and to replace some of the signs along the Alamo Road.
Volunteers will be camping on the Refuge in a primitive camp (no facilities) during the project.
Volunteers are welcome for all of the days or to just come out for a day. The main project workday will be Saturday May 22nd and that's when we will need the most volunteers. If there is time on Sunday, there will be an optional hike up Joe May Canyon.
Contact Kurt Kuznicki, Friends of Nevada Wilderness, at (775) 745-3119 for more information and to sign up.
