The Wilburforce Foundation awarded Shaaron Netherton the "Conservation Leadership" award yesterday in honor of her continued commitment, leadership, and passion for protecting Nevada's public lands. Since 2000, Shaaron has built Friends of Nevada Wilderness from a staff of one to fourteen, initiated a robust stewardship program, and contributed to the designation of countless Nevada wilderness areas.
