Boundary Peak - Trails
Boundary Peak's California neighbor, Montgomery Peak, is slightly higher. Together, the two form an impressive double climax. The peaks can be climbed in a long day from either the east or the west side.
Quickest access is from the eastern, Fishlake Valley, side. Following the route described in John Hart's book, Hiking the Great Basin, you'll cover 10 miles round-trip, with 4,600 feet of gain. The route is cross country, with an occasional short length of recognizable path. Allow 10-14 hours for the trip.
